Description

A quick and easy casserole made with ground beef, pasta shells, and creamy tomato soup, this dish is a comforting favorite that pleases the whole family.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 (10 oz) cans of tomato soup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Garlic, powder or fresh, to taste
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook and drain the pasta according to the package directions.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  3. In a large skillet, brown and chop the ground beef, seasoning with garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked pasta, tomato soup, water, and half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese to the skillet with the beef. Stir and cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the mixture into your greased baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes. For an extra touch, turn on the broiler for the last 2-3 minutes to brown the cheese.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider incorporating vegetables like spinach or bell peppers. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
