  • 11/2 to 2 cup (480 ml) s powdered sugar
  • Milk
  • Splash of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, sour cream, milk, flour, baking powder, a bit of vanilla extract, and a touch of salt. Stir until you achieve a consistent batter.
  2. Pour the mixture into a microwave-safe cake pan that has been greased. Heat in the microwave for 5 to 8 minutes, checking after 5 minutes. The cake is ready when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out without any batter.
  3. Allow the cake to cool entirely before applying the frosting.
  4. Using an electric mixer, blend together the room temperature butter, 1-1/2 cups of powdered sugar, a tablespoon of milk, and a dash of vanilla extract until the mixture is creamy.
