Ingredients
Scale
- 2–3 firm, slightly underripe bananas
- 1–2 teaspoons olive oil or coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon white sugar (or sugar substitute)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Slice bananas into uniform thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a bowl, toss banana slices with oil, sugar, and cinnamon if using.
- Arrange in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 350°F for 12-15 minutes, shaking basket or flipping chips halfway through.
- Remove when golden brown with slightly darker edges. Let cool completely to crisp up.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes
- Use slightly underripe bananas for best results – they have less moisture.
- Make sure to slice the bananas uniformly for even cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket – work in batches if needed.
- The chips will continue to crisp as they cool.
