- 5 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 2 cup (480 ml) s all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) ground cinnamon
- 5 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 5 teaspoon (3 ml) ground cloves
- 2 apples – peeled, cored and chopped
Instructions
- Set your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and allow it to heat up. Lightly coat an 8×4-inch loaf pan with oil.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar and oil by using an electric mixer until you achieve a smooth, creamy blend; add the eggs and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, and cloves by sifting them together; blend this dry mix into the creamy mixture until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped apples, then pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out without any batter, approximately 1 hour. Let the bread cool in the pan for 15 minutes before turning it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
