- 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
- 1 cup cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 cup carrots, shredded
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup zesty sauce (like ranch or a spicy aioli)
- Wonton wrappers
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, cabbage, carrots, green onions, cheese, cilantro, and zesty sauce.
- Take a wonton wrapper, place a spoonful of the filling in the center, and fold into a taco shape, sealing the edges.
- Fry the wontons in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels, season with salt and pepper, and serve warm.
Notes
Don’t overstuff the wonton wrappers and ensure to seal edges tightly. Prepare filling ahead for quick assembly before frying.
