Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 lbs skirt steak or flank steak

Instructions

  1. Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Place the steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish, ensuring ample room for the marinade to coat the meat.
  3. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Refrigerate the marinating steak for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight for maximum flavor absorption.
  5. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  6. Grill the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish.
  7. Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider scoring the surface of the steak lightly before marinating. Always rest the steak after grilling for at least five minutes.
