Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 lbs skirt steak or flank steak
Instructions
- Mix all marinade ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
- Place the steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish, ensuring ample room for the marinade to coat the meat.
- Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Refrigerate the marinating steak for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight for maximum flavor absorption.
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Grill the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish.
- Allow the steak to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider scoring the surface of the steak lightly before marinating. Always rest the steak after grilling for at least five minutes.
