Delicious salmon meatballs served with a creamy avocado sauce. Perfect as an appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh salmon (can substitute canned salmon)
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 ripe avocados
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- If using fresh salmon, finely chop into small pieces or pulse briefly in a food processor.
- In a bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, dill, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Preheat oven to 375°F and place meatballs on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 145°F and flake easily with a fork.
- While meatballs are cooking, prepare the avocado sauce by blending avocados, lime juice, cilantro, garlic, and olive oil until smooth.
- Serve the meatballs hot with avocado sauce on the side or drizzled on top.
Notes
- For an air fryer option, cook at 375°F for 8-10 minutes.
- The meatballs can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 2 days.
- Leftover avocado sauce can be stored with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface to prevent browning.
