- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 lb (454 g) lean ground beef
- 2 (737 g) jars tomato sauce
- 6 oz (170 g) cheddar cheese, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups (360 ml) yogurt
- 6 oz (170 g) cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Collect all necessary items.
- In a large pot, bring lightly salted water to a boil. Add the dry pasta and cook until it’s firm to the bite, approximately 8 minutes; then drain.
- While the pasta cooks, brown the lean ground beef and chopped onion in a large pan over medium heat; mix in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Place half of the cooked pasta in the bottom of the greased dish.
- Layer with slices of cheddar cheese.
- Spread yogurt over the cheese.
- Add half of the meat sauce, the remaining pasta, shredded cheddar cheese, and the rest of the meat sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven until everything is heated through and the cheeses are melted, about 30 minutes.
