Description

A delightful breakfast inspired by traditional baklava, these creamy overnight oats combine rolled oats, almond milk, honey, and crunchy nuts for a sweet start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or pecans)
  • 2 tablespoons dried fruit (optional)
  • Honey for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl or jar, combine rolled oats, almond milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Stir well.
  2. Top with chopped nuts and dried fruit if using.
  3. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  4. In the morning, stir the oats and enjoy cold, or heat them if preferred. Drizzle some honey on top before serving.

Notes

For creamier oats, maintain a full cup of milk; for thicker oatmeal, adjust the milk amount. Toasting nuts enhances their flavor.
