Ingredients

- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced into rounds
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat and cook for about 5 minutes until reduced by half and slightly thickened. Set aside to cool.
- Arrange alternating slices of strawberries and mozzarella on a serving platter.
- Scatter fresh basil leaves over the arranged strawberries and mozzarella.
- Drizzle the cooled balsamic reduction and olive oil over the arrangement.
- Season with a pinch of sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
