Description

Delicious spicy Bang Bang Chicken Skewers with a creamy, spicy sauce that can be prepared ahead of time. Perfect for grilling, broiling or air frying!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp sriracha sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with olive oil, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
  2. Make the bang bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. Thread marinated chicken pieces onto soaked wooden skewers.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Alternatively, preheat broiler, grill pan, or air fryer to 380°F.
  5. Grill skewers for 3-4 minutes per side or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Brush or drizzle cooked skewers with bang bang sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lime wedges and additional sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For best results, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
  • You can adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha to the sauce.
  • The chicken can be marinated up to 24 hours in advance for enhanced flavor.
  • You can also cook these in an air fryer at 380°F for about 10-12 minutes, turning halfway.
