Delicious spicy Bang Bang Chicken Skewers with a creamy, spicy sauce that can be prepared ahead of time. Perfect for grilling, broiling or air frying!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1–2 tbsp sriracha sauce, adjust to taste
- 1 tbsp honey
- Lime wedges for serving
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine chicken pieces with olive oil, soy sauce, and garlic powder. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
- Make the bang bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Thread marinated chicken pieces onto soaked wooden skewers.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Alternatively, preheat broiler, grill pan, or air fryer to 380°F.
- Grill skewers for 3-4 minutes per side or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Brush or drizzle cooked skewers with bang bang sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with lime wedges and additional sauce on the side.
Notes
- For best results, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- You can adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha to the sauce.
- The chicken can be marinated up to 24 hours in advance for enhanced flavor.
- You can also cook these in an air fryer at 380°F for about 10-12 minutes, turning halfway.
