Description

Crispy and flavorful Bang Bang Salmon Bites with creamy bang bang sauce, perfect for gatherings or a family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh salmon (skinless and cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or spray for crisping
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to spice level)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice or cauliflower rice
  • 1 cup shredded purple cabbage
  • 1 avocado (sliced)
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • 2 green onions (sliced)
  • Fresh cilantro and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to the appropriate temperature.
  2. Season the salmon cubes in a bowl with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat each piece of seasoned salmon in panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Spread the coated salmon on a baking sheet and spray or drizzle with olive oil for even crisping.
  5. Bake or air-fry until golden and cooked through, usually for about 12-15 minutes.
  6. Prepare the bang bang sauce by mixing together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice.
  7. Assemble your bowls with a base of jasmine rice or cauliflower rice, then top with shredded purple cabbage, shredded carrots, avocado slices, and green onions. Finish with the crispy salmon bites and drizzle or dollop with the bang bang sauce.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and sesame seeds for an added touch.

Notes

For additional flavor, marinate the salmon before coating in breadcrumbs. Adjust sriracha to your spice preference.
