Ingredients

  • Vermicelli noodles
  • Tofu
  • Soy sauce
  • Thai basil leaves
  • Holy basil leaves
  • Vegetable oil
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Bell peppers
  • Carrots
  • Chili peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak the vermicelli noodles in warm water until soft, then drain.
  2. In a pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and chopped onion; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Cut tofu into cubes and add to the pan, cooking until browned.
  5. Add sliced bell peppers and carrots, cooking until tender.
  6. Add the softened vermicelli noodles and soy sauce, tossing to combine.
  7. Stir in Thai and Holy basil leaves, and cook for another minute.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional basil if desired.

Notes

Use extra-firm tofu for better texture. Customize with your favorite vegetables or add chili peppers for spice.
