Description

A classic comfort dish that combines tender beef in a creamy sauce served over egg noodles, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the onion and mushrooms, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and add the beef broth; bring to a simmer.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in the sour cream, cooking until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve over the egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, simmer longer before adding sour cream or add a tablespoon of flour before returning the beef to the skillet.
