Description

A comforting casserole made with wide egg noodles, ground beef, and creamy sour cream, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, Italian seasoning, and cooked noodles.
  5. Combine the beef mixture with the noodle mixture; season with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread half of the mixture in a greased baking dish.
  7. Layer half of the Cheddar cheese over the mixture.
  8. Top with the remaining noodle and beef mixture, and finish with the remaining cheese.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
