  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic, green onions, shredded cabbage, and carrots; stir-fry until tender.
  3. If using, add cooked meat and soy sauce, mixing well.
  4. Remove from heat and let the filling cool slightly.
  5. Place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each egg roll wrapper.
  6. Moisten the edges with water, fold over, and roll tightly to seal.
  7. In a deep skillet, heat oil to 375°F (190°C) and fry the egg rolls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
