- 1 pound fish (cod, tilapia, or salmon)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking fish
- 2 cups shredded cabbage mix (coleslaw)
- ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 whole jalapeño pepper, finely diced
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons olive oil for slaw
- Juice of 1 whole lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- About 8 corn tortillas
- Avocados and tomatoes for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your stove to medium heat. Heat a large skillet and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Add the seasoned fish to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet for 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the tacos on each tortilla with fish pieces, topping with the cabbage slaw, avocado, and tomatoes.
Notes
For a non-spicy version, omit the jalapeño. Feel free to experiment with different fish or add a dollop of sour cream.
