Description

A comforting casserole that combines flavors of a classic burger with the ease of a baking dish. Perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 package frozen hash brown patties
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer the hash brown patties at the bottom.
  4. Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the hash browns.
  5. Drizzle mayonnaise on top, then sprinkle the shredded cheese over everything.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and top with shredded lettuce and any optional toppings you desire before serving.

Notes

Using freshly shredded cheese enhances melted texture. Letting the casserole rest before serving helps set the layers.
