- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes.
- Add garlic and black pepper, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar in a small bowl, then pour over the chicken mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and water, then add to the skillet.
- Cook until sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with rice.

- For extra spice, add red pepper flakes or sliced chili peppers.
- Other mushroom varieties like shiitake or button mushrooms work well too.
