- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray for easy release.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder if using.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, distributing it evenly throughout.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk, beaten egg, and melted butter until smooth. Add honey if desired.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring gently until just blended.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Sprinkle a little extra cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
