Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or cream cheese)
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Separate the egg whites and yolks into two different bowls.
  3. Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  4. In the other bowl, beat the egg yolks with cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture until just combined.
  6. Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheet in desired shapes.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and set.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as a sandwich base or on its own!
