- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or cream cheese)
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the egg whites and yolks into two different bowls.
- Beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
- In the other bowl, beat the egg yolks with cheese, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture until just combined.
- Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheet in desired shapes.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden and set.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as a sandwich base or on its own!
Notes
Use fresh eggs for the best volume. Experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
