Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, then drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk, whisking to create a sauce.
- Layer half of the potatoes in a greased baking dish, followed by half of the ground beef and half of the soup mixture.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, ground beef, and soup mixture, topping with shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Consider adding garlic or onion powder to the beef for extra flavor. Fresh herbs can be sprinkled on top before serving for added color and taste.
