- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned.
- Drain excess fat from the skillet.
- Stir in the orzo, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until melted.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, brown the beef with a pinch of smoked paprika or add a dash of hot sauce. Customize with vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms.
