- 1 pound ground chicken or shrimp
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg roll wrappers
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the ground chicken or shrimp, cooking until fully cooked through.
- Stir in the cabbage, carrots, and green onions, cooking until the vegetables soften.
- Season with soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Lay out an egg roll wrapper on a flat surface. Place a spoonful of the filling near one corner.
- Fold the corner over the filling, then fold the sides in tightly. Roll it up to secure.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
To enhance crunchiness, avoid overcrowding the frying pan and serve with dipping sauces for added flavor.
