- 1 medium cabbage, shredded
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the beef and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shredded cabbage to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until it begins to soften.
- Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Add red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
- Continue cooking for 1-2 minutes until cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
- For a gluten-free version, use tamari instead of soy sauce and check that your oyster sauce is gluten-free.
- Vegetarian option: Substitute ground beef with crumbled tofu or plant-based ground meat.
