Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef steak (sirloin or flank)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef steak into thin strips.
  2. Marinate the beef with soy sauce and cornstarch for about 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the pan and stir-fry until browned.
  5. Add the sliced bell pepper, onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables become tender.
  6. Pour in the beef broth, bring the mixture to a simmer, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  7. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve hot over rice.
