  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) instant yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
  • ⅔ cup (155 ml) warm water
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese
  • ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (175 g) mini chocolate chips
  • 3 Tablespoon (45 ml) s butter melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup + 1 Tablespoon (50 g) all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup (66 g) sugar
  • 2 Tablespoon (30 ml) s brown sugar tightly packed

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 500°F (260°C) and place parchment paper on a pizza pan for later use.
  2. In a big mixing bowl, blend together the flour, yeast, and salt thoroughly.
  3. Pour the warm water into the mixture and stir until the ingredients mostly come together. Use your hands to form a ball of dough.
  4. Place the dough on a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it becomes stretchy. If it’s too sticky, add more flour a tablespoon at a time.
  5. Let the dough sit for 10 minutes.
  6. Shape the dough into a 12-inch circle and move it to the prepared pizza pan. Pinch or fold the edges to create a crust.
  7. To make the cream cheese topping, cut the cream cheese into eight pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 10 seconds at a time, mixing in between, until smooth.
  8. Mix the sugar and vanilla extract into the cream cheese until well combined.
  9. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  10. Scatter the chocolate chips over the top, pressing them gently into the cream cheese layer.
  11. For the streusel, stir the vanilla extract into the melted butter and set aside.
  12. In another bowl, use a fork to blend the flour and both sugars together until well mixed.
  13. Combine with the butter mixture using a fork until it resembles small crumbs.
  14. Distribute the crumb mixture evenly over the pizza.
  15. Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 7 minutes, or until the streusel turns golden brown.
  16. Take it out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes, then slice and enjoy.
