- 1 ½ cups (185 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) instant yeast
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- ⅔ cup (155 ml) warm water
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese
- ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (175 g) mini chocolate chips
- 3 Tablespoon (45 ml) s butter melted
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup + 1 Tablespoon (50 g) all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup (66 g) sugar
- 2 Tablespoon (30 ml) s brown sugar tightly packed
Instructions
- Set your oven to 500°F (260°C) and place parchment paper on a pizza pan for later use.
- In a big mixing bowl, blend together the flour, yeast, and salt thoroughly.
- Pour the warm water into the mixture and stir until the ingredients mostly come together. Use your hands to form a ball of dough.
- Place the dough on a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it becomes stretchy. If it’s too sticky, add more flour a tablespoon at a time.
- Let the dough sit for 10 minutes.
- Shape the dough into a 12-inch circle and move it to the prepared pizza pan. Pinch or fold the edges to create a crust.
- To make the cream cheese topping, cut the cream cheese into eight pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 10 seconds at a time, mixing in between, until smooth.
- Mix the sugar and vanilla extract into the cream cheese until well combined.
- Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
- Scatter the chocolate chips over the top, pressing them gently into the cream cheese layer.
- For the streusel, stir the vanilla extract into the melted butter and set aside.
- In another bowl, use a fork to blend the flour and both sugars together until well mixed.
- Combine with the butter mixture using a fork until it resembles small crumbs.
- Distribute the crumb mixture evenly over the pizza.
- Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 7 minutes, or until the streusel turns golden brown.
- Take it out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes, then slice and enjoy.
