A delicious homemade Cinnamon Donut Bread that tastes just like your favorite cinnamon sugar donuts in a convenient loaf form.
Ingredients
- All-purpose flour (or 1:1 gluten-free baking blend)
- Xanthan gum (if using gluten-free flour without it)
Instructions
- For gluten-free version: Replace all-purpose flour with 1:1 gluten-free baking blend
- Add 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum if blend doesn’t contain it
- Bake until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean
- Optional: Add 1/2 cup of chopped apples, raisins, or nuts
Notes
- Bread should be golden brown on top
- Edges should pull away from pan sides
- Toothpick test should show clean or few moist crumbs
- Avoid opening oven door during first 30 minutes
- Can be made into muffins: bake at 350°F for 18-22 minutes
- Muffin recipe yields 12-14 portions
