- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, and eggs in a large bowl until well blended.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the banana mixture.
- Fold in the flour gradually, mixing gently to avoid over-mixing.
- Mix the remaining granulated sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan, followed by half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Pour the remaining batter on top and sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Swirl the batter gently with a knife or skewer.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool the bread for 10-15 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled bread.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating nuts or chocolate chips into the batter. Ensure the bread cools completely before glazing.
