Description
Make deliciously crispy cinnamon sugar banana chips in your air fryer with minimal oil. These sweet treats are the perfect healthy snack alternative to store-bought chips.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 firm bananas
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or olive oil)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt (optional)
Instructions
- Slice bananas into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
- In a bowl, toss banana slices with oil to lightly coat.
- Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the oiled banana slices.
- Arrange banana slices in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 350°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking time.
- Check for doneness – chips should be golden brown with visibly dry edges.
- Allow to cool completely before serving as they will crisp up more during cooling.
Notes
- Use firmer, less ripe bananas for best results.
- Make sure slices are uniform thickness for even cooking.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket – work in batches if needed.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (if they last that long!).
