Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips

Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips: How to Make Cinnamon-Sugar Crunchiness

  • Author: Anele
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Description

Make deliciously crispy cinnamon sugar banana chips in your air fryer with minimal oil. These sweet treats are the perfect healthy snack alternative to store-bought chips.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 firm bananas
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or olive oil)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice bananas into thin, even rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
  2. In a bowl, toss banana slices with oil to lightly coat.
  3. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the oiled banana slices.
  4. Arrange banana slices in a single layer in your air fryer basket.
  5. Air fry at 350°F for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking time.
  6. Check for doneness – chips should be golden brown with visibly dry edges.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving as they will crisp up more during cooling.

Notes

  • Use firmer, less ripe bananas for best results.
  • Make sure slices are uniform thickness for even cooking.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket – work in batches if needed.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (if they last that long!).
