Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk and butter until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the yeast and sugar; let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl; make a well in the center and add the milk mixture and eggs. Mix until a dough forms, then knead for about 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
  4. Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  5. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough, then roll it up tightly.
  6. Place the rolled dough seam side down in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the loaf for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
