Coca-Cola Glazed Ribs with Spicy Sauce: The Best Recipe for BBQ Lovers

  • Author: Anele
  • Total Time: 3 hours 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Tender, fall-off-the-bone beef ribs slow-cooked with a sweet and tangy Coca-Cola glaze that caramelizes beautifully in the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks beef back ribs (about 45 pounds)
  • 2 cups Coca-Cola (not diet)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Season ribs generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine Coca-Cola, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Place ribs in a large roasting pan and pour the Coca-Cola mixture over them. Cover tightly with foil.
  4. Bake for 3 hours, or until the meat begins to pull away from the bones but doesn’t completely fall off (internal temperature 190-203°F).
  5. Remove foil, baste ribs with the sauce from the pan, and continue cooking uncovered for 30 minutes, basting every 10 minutes to build up the glaze.
  6. Let ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with additional sauce from the pan if desired.

Notes

  • For best results, let the ribs marinate in the Coca-Cola mixture overnight in the refrigerator before cooking.
  • You can substitute beef back ribs with pork ribs if preferred.
  • For a smokier flavor, add 1-2 teaspoons of liquid smoke to the glaze mixture.
  • The sauce can be reduced on the stovetop for a thicker consistency if desired.
