Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (240 ml) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) whole milk
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoon (10 ml) s ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Prepare the dough mixture by combining the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar in a medium-sized bowl. In another bowl, beat together the egg, whole milk, condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla essence. Slowly incorporate the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until they just come together.
- Warm up the oil by pouring about 2 inches into a deep pan or pot. Heat it on medium until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Test the readiness by dropping a small bit of batter into the oil; it should sizzle and float to the surface.
- Cook the doughnut puffs by gently placing spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil using a tablespoon or a small scoop. Fry in batches for 2-3 minutes, turning them occasionally, until they achieve a golden-brown color and are thoroughly cooked. Use a slotted spoon to lift the puffs out of the oil, and let them drain on paper towels.
- For the coating, mix together the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. While the puffs are still warm, roll them in this cinnamon-sugar blend to cover them completely.
- To make the drizzle, place the condensed milk in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat it for 15-20 seconds to soften. Drizzle it over the cinnamon-coated doughnut puffs.
- Present the doughnut puffs while they are warm and enjoy their sweet, cinnamon-flavored exterior with a hint of creamy condensed milk drizzle!
Notes
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar thoroughly for a smooth, even mixnSlowly incorporate wet ingredients into the dry to prevent tough puffs by avoiding overmixingnCoat warm puffs in cinnamon-sugar for better adhesion and enhanced flavor
