Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
  4. Add the softened butter to the flour mixture.
  5. Use a pastry cutter or your hands to combine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
  7. Fold in the dried cranberries until evenly distributed.
  8. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan.
