  • 3/4 cup whole milk (180 ml)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (57 g)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (60 g)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (25 g)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (60 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil (5 ml)
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles (80 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Grease a baking sheet or donut pan with vegetable oil.
  6. Spoon the batter into the prepared baking sheet or pan, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.
  9. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
  10. Gradually add the heavy cream to the sugar-cocoa mixture, stirring until smooth to make the glaze.
  11. Once the donuts are cool, dip the tops into the glaze.
  12. Immediately sprinkle rainbow sprinkles on top of the glazed donuts.
  13. Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving.
