- 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil or butter in a large pot over medium heat.
- Sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add pasta and broth to the pot, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Stir in the broccoli florets halfway through the pasta’s cooking time.
- Once the pasta is tender, mix in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter version, reduce the heavy cream or substitute with broth. Consider adding grilled chicken or shrimp for extra protein.
