Description
A comforting and flavorful pasta dish featuring creamy brown butter and sautéed mushrooms.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta of your choice
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Cook until it starts to brown and has a nutty aroma.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Reduce heat and add the heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Refrigerate leftover sauce separately from the pasta to maintain texture. Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce and experiment with different types of mushrooms.
