Description

A comforting and flavorful pasta dish featuring creamy brown butter and sautéed mushrooms.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta of your choice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Cook until it starts to brown and has a nutty aroma.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Reduce heat and add the heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce until well coated.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Refrigerate leftover sauce separately from the pasta to maintain texture. Use freshly grated parmesan for a smoother sauce and experiment with different types of mushrooms.
