Description
A delightful pasta dish that combines tender steak, fresh broccoli, and sweet cherry tomatoes in a rich and creamy garlic sauce, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder
- Smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¾ cup whole milk
- 1¼ cups shredded parmesan cheese
- Optional: parsley, red pepper flakes, and cracked black pepper for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Toss broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes or steam until tender-crisp.
- Season the steak with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak bites until browned (about 3–5 minutes). Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet. Sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and milk, then simmer for 3–4 minutes. Add parmesan and stir until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Combine everything: return cooked steak, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, and penne to the skillet. Toss gently to coat in the creamy sauce.
- Garnish with optional parsley, cracked black pepper, or red pepper flakes. Serve hot.
Notes
To enhance creaminess, stir cheese slowly into the sauce. Adjust cream and cheese for desired sauce thickness. Can substitute fresh vegetables with frozen if necessary.
