Description

A comforting and luxurious dish featuring pappardelle pasta, tender steak, earthy mushrooms, and a rich, creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pappardelle pasta
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook the pappardelle according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, then cook until browned to your desired doneness. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed. Sauté the onion and garlic until translucent and fragrant.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until softened.
  5. Stir in beef broth and let it simmer, then pour in the heavy cream. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
  6. Return the steak to the skillet and toss with the cooked pappardelle until coated with sauce. Adjust seasoning if needed and garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Try different mushroom varieties for added flavor. Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results.
