- 24 oz baby bella mushrooms
- 2 shallots
- 2 Tbsp canola oil
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- Salt
- Fresh cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2–3/4 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Slice the baby bella mushrooms and shallots thinly.
- Heat a medium cooking pan and add the canola oil. Season the sliced mushrooms and shallots with salt and pepper.
- Sauté them over medium heat until they are just done. Drain off the mushroom juices to avoid excess moisture.
- In another bowl, combine the sour cream, heavy whipping cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well, adjusting salt as necessary based on your taste.
- Add the creamy mixture to the sautéed mushrooms, stir well, and heat through.
- Transfer the mushroom mixture into a baking dish and spread the shredded cheese over the top.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm, optionally garnished with fresh herbs. Pairs well with crusty bread or a green salad.
