- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and add the heavy cream; mix well.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet, tossing to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
Notes
To prevent sauce from becoming too thick, add a splash of water or broth if needed. Customize the dish by adding vegetables or using different cheeses.
