Description
A comforting creamy steak pasta dish that combines rich flavors and textures, perfect for special occasions or cozy weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Penne Pasta
- 1 lb Steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let it rest before slicing.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and smooth.
- Toss the cooked penne pasta into the sauce.
- Slice the rested steak and place it on top of the pasta.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. To enhance the dish, consider adding vegetables like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
