Description
A rich and creamy steak pasta dish that brings comfort and warmth to any dinner table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
- 2 steaks (sirloin or ribeye)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (for garnish)
- 1/4 cup extra grated Parmesan cheese (optional topping)
Instructions
- Begin by cooking your pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set it aside.
- Season the steak with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the steak until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from the pan and let it rest before slicing thinly.
- In the same skillet, melt the unsalted butter and add the minced garlic. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until it melts and the sauce thickens.
- Toss in your cooked pasta and sliced steak, ensuring everything is well-coated in the creamy goodness.
- Serve with fresh parsley and extra grated Parmesan on top, if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the steak in olive oil, garlic, and herbs before cooking. Consider adding sautéed vegetables for balanced nutrition.
