Description

A comforting dish that combines creamy white cheddar with Cajun spices and tender steak, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 pound lean steak (such as sirloin or flank)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak and sear until cooked to your liking. Remove from the pan and allow to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the shredded white cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Slice the steak into strips and return it to the skillet. Combine with the cream sauce.
  7. Add the penne to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Marinate the steak in Cajun seasoning for enhanced flavor. Use block cheddar for a creamier sauce. Keep an eye on cooking times to prevent overcooking the steak or pasta.
