Ingredients

- Feta cheese, grated, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (25 grams)
- Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
- Onion powder, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
- Salt, 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams)
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams)
- Mozzarella cheese balls, 12 small (about 150 grams)
- Green olives, sliced, 6 pieces
- Tomato sauce, 2 cups (480 ml) (480 milliliters)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (8 grams)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, and milk.
- Add the egg and mix until well combined.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Form the meat mixture into 12 equal-sized balls.
- Place a mozzarella cheese ball in the center of each meatball, enclosing it completely.
- Arrange the meatballs on a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- While meatballs bake, heat tomato sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- After 15 minutes, remove meatballs from the oven.
- Pour heated tomato sauce over the meatballs.
- Place a slice of black olive on each meatball to resemble an eyeball.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
- Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
