- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Coat the chicken in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the chicken in a single layer.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
- In the last few minutes of cooking, spoon marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
- Cook until the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking. Experiment with different breadcrumb mixtures for added flavor.
