Description

Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Soy sauce for dipping
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until well coated.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, let the coated tofu sit for a few minutes before frying and consider double coating it with cornstarch.
