Ingredients

- 1 block firm tofu
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- Soy sauce for dipping
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until well coated.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra crispiness, let the coated tofu sit for a few minutes before frying and consider double coating it with cornstarch.
