Delicious and crispy sticky tofu marinated in a sweet and spicy sauce, perfect for impressing your guests.
Ingredients

- 11 oz (300 g) extra firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1–2 garlic cloves, grated
- ½ tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3–4 tablespoons oil (for frying)
- Garnishments: Sesame seeds or chopped green onions
Instructions
- Drain and press the tofu to extract excess moisture.
- In a small bowl, whisk together sweet soy sauce, rice vinegar, grated garlic, red pepper flakes, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 3 tablespoons of water until smooth.
- Slice the pressed tofu into triangles or cubes.
- Coat the tofu pieces in the remaining cornstarch.
- In a non-stick pan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu in a single layer to the pan and fry until golden brown.
- Pour the marinade into the pan and quickly turn each piece to coat.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.
Notes
Serve with rice or stir-fried vegetables for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in an air fryer for best crispiness.
