Ingredients

- Salt

Instructions
- Check water temperature to ensure it’s around 110°F for proper yeast activation
- Mix the dough ingredients together until well combined
- If adding cheese or dried fruits, fold them in after mixing the dough
- Let the dough rise, covered
- Cook in a covered skillet until golden brown on both sides
- Test for doneness by tapping the bottom (should sound hollow) or check internal temperature (190-200°F)
Notes
- For gluten-free version, add ½ teaspoon xanthan gum if your flour blend doesn’t include it
- Ensure yeast is fresh for proper rising
- Can be customized with cheese varieties like cheddar, parmesan, or feta
- For sweet version, add sugar and dried fruits, plus cinnamon sugar topping
