A delightful vegan dish combining crispy tofu, creamy avocado, and fluffy rice, all infused with teriyaki flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into cubes and marinate them in the teriyaki sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and cook the marinated tofu until crispy on all sides. Set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a separate bowl, mash the avocado with a fork and mix it with the cooked rice.
  6. Using a mold or a cup, layer the avocado rice mixture with crispy tofu to create a stack.
  7. Drizzle the stacked ingredients with the soy sauce mixture.
  8. Serve the Crispy Teriyaki Tofu and Avocado Rice Stack immediately and enjoy!

Notes
